Ice, snow season draws hordes of tourists to Ordos

The 11th Ordos Jiucheng Palace Ice and Snow Culture and Tourism Season officially kicked off on Dec 18, providing tourists with a wonderful and wide variety of choice events and activities with which to enjoy the winter fun.

The season is being held in the Jiucheng Palace scenic area in the Dongsheng district of Ordos, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Entertainment activities will include experiencing various sports on ice and snow, chowing down on delicious and piping hot food at a snowfield barbecue, going dancing, as well as listening to performances of songs, and fruit and vegetable picking.

According to the organizers, the event will last around three months, stretching to March 8 next year.
