The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region was recently covered in spectacular rime, due to a significant fall in the temperature.

Rime is a special type of frost — granular tufts of ice — that appears only when atmospheric conditions are right and water vapor meets cold air.

The rime on trees has created a wonderful sight, turning the city into a soft and dreamy landscape.
