Ordos introduces 36 major projects in January-February

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region introduced 36 projects, each receiving more than 50 million yuan ($7.50 million) in investment, and had 1.70 billion yuan in funds in place in the first two months of this year.

It had more funds in place than any other place in Inner Mongolia and accounted for 24.1 percent of the total in the region.

Of the introduced projects, 23 have received more than 500 million yuan in investment, with a total of 1.59 billion yuan already in place.

The city's Juungar Banner ranked first in terms of project investment amount, with a total of 781 billion yuan in place. It was followed by Uxin Banner and Otog Front Banner with 294 million yuan and 285 million yuan in place, respectively.

Next were Dalad Banner, Hanggin Banner, Otog Banner, Ejin Horoo Banner and Dongsheng district.

The industries with the most funds in place were the production and supply of electricity, gas and water with a total of 971 million yuan in place, the second was the manufacturing industry with 278 million yuan, and third was transportation, warehousing and postal industries with 200 million yuan.
