Construction on an intelligent charging station integrating solar power generation, energy storage and vehicle charging recently finished and started trial operations in the Dalu Industrial Park in Juungar Banner in the city of Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The charging station is an innovative attempt by Juungar Banner to build new energy vehicle charging stations and a way for Dalu Industrial Park to promote the implementation of the national "dual carbon goals", promote energy conservation and emissions reduction, and create a zero-carbon demonstration park.

It is composed of rooftop photovoltaics, photovoltaic carports, prefabricated energy storage containers, on-site managers, DC charging piles and smart cloud platforms, does not require grid access and is a smart off-grid station for solar power storage and charging.

The charging station adopts DC fast charging technology to form a micro-grid with photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and intelligent charging facilities, which can intelligently interact with the public grid according to demand, and realize both on-grid and off-grid operation modes.

So far, three charging piles have been built, which can serve up to six electric vehicles at once and fully charge an electric vehicle within 30 minutes.
