The "Daka China" Global Communication Event officially opened in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 25.

"Daka", which means "punching the card", refers to social media-driven practice of registering one's presence at a famous location.

During the event, internet celebrities from countries such as the UK, Italy, Brazil, Georgia, Guatemala, Thailand and South Korea, will share stories from China from a unique perspective.

The foreign influencers participating in the event include video bloggers and influencers active on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, INS, Bilibili and TIK TOK at home and abroad, as well as well-known photographers.

Their destinations will include North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shanxi province, Henan province and Hubei province, Jiangsu province, Shandong province, Anhui province, Zhejiang province, and Heilongjiang province.

Ordos is their first stop and the activities there will last six days until July 30.

During their stay in Ordos, they will have the opportunity to learn about Inner Mongolia's economic development, unique scenery, culture, ecology, and the people living there.
