At the Ordos Net-zero Industry Summit held on Oct 12, 2021, Ordos proposed building the first net-zero industrial park in the world.

Construction on the industrial park is expected to finish in 2025.

By then, carbon dioxide emissions are expected to have been reduced by 100 million metric tons, the annual consumption of green electricity is expected to be 15 billion kilowatt-hours, and its annual output value is expected to be 100 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, the industrial park will provide job opportunities for 100,000 scientific and technological talents.

This is expected to contribute to the promotion of green and low-carbon development nationwide and globally.
