The 2022 Ordos Regatta was held at the Wulan Mulun Lake in Kangbashi district, Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 13-14.

The two-day event attracted the participation of 420 people from 36 teams nationwide.

It was the fourth consecutive year Ordos held the event, which was sponsored by the Ordos municipal government and the China Rowing Association Club Union. It is one of the largest and most influential water sports events in Northwest China.

This year's event consisted of seven groups, including those for university students, youth, couples and families.

Players competed for medals in eight-person oars with helmsman 1000m, quadruple sculls 1000m, double sculls 1000m and lake pursuit 6000m.

Meanwhile, this year's event saw the debut of the "rowing + running + archery" competition item, in an effort to add variety and improve the overall experience.

The event is expected to contribute to sports education and the surrounding tourism industry, forming an integrated development model of "sports + tourism" and promoting the common development of regional water sports and tourism.
