Major projects were signed into effect in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Nov 14.

The projects will be constructed in the city's Otog Economic Development Zone.

They include the construction of a high-end intelligent manufacturing and green power project, an advanced material R&D and test base, and a new polysulfate PSE polymer material industrialization project.

According to the deals, Jiangsu Baoxin Technology Co will invest 13.3 billion yuan in total to build the intelligent manufacturing and green power project.

The construction will include 18GW photovoltaic heterojunction modules, 5GW photovoltaic heterojunction cells, and a 5GW thin slice production line as well as production lines for high-purity crystalline silicon, Quartz crucible and silicon rod.

The project's first phase will receive an investment of 1.86 billion yuan. When the phase is in full operation, it will generate an output value of around 4 billion yuan and provide nearly 700 positions.

The advanced material R&D and test base and new polysulfate PSE polymer material industrialization project will be invested in by Inner Mongolia Junzheng Advanced Materials Research Co and Inner Mongolia Tuwei Technology Co. with a total investment volume of 1.5 billion yuan.

In the first phase, the construction of a new material research institute, a public R&D platform, and a 1,000-ton/year pilot industrial production line will be completed.

The second phase will see the completion of a 10,000-ton/year industrial production line and a separation membrane preparation center.

After the projects begin production, they are expected to achieve an output value of 1.4 billion yuan and provide around 300 jobs.
