Two projects from the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region were recognized as excellent cases of trademark and brand building.

They were among the 108 cases that were recently confirmed by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

The Ordos cases were the sustainable development of the "Erdos" band by the Inner Mongolia Ordos Resources Co; and the Duoduopin farmers' service platform by Ordos Digital Agriculture Technology Co.

In recent years, Ordos has focused on the development of intellectual property rights; and in 2022, it made great progress in the creation and implementation of intellectual property (IP) rights.

By the end of 2022, the city had 944 valid invention patents, including 283 high-value invention patents. The number of valid trademark registrations in the city reached 43,667, a net increase of 6,163, which ranked second in the region.

The patent authorizations in Ordos came in at 4,130, ranking third in the region, and seeing a year-on-year increase of 7.52 percent.

Additionally, during the same period, the number of effective trademark registrations in the city reached 43,667, a year-on-year increase of 16.43 percent. While the number of trademark applications in the city was 9,998.
