The government of Ordos city and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation deal on Aug 5.

CATL is a global leader in new energy innovative technologies.

According to the agreements, both parties will leverage their strengths to focus on developing new power systems, improving the industrial layout, enhancing financial services, and cultivating more talents. This will set up a multi-level and comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship.

Ordos is known for its abundant resources. It is a key clean energy export base, coal power base, and a demonstration base for the production of coal-related chemicals.

Zeng Yuqun, chairman of CATL, praised the development of Ordos in recent years and introduced the industrial layout of his company.

He expressed hope of strengthening communication and deepening cooperation with Ordos in various fields.

Furthermore, he emphasized the need to integrate both sides' advantageous resources and optimize the industrial layout to achieve win-win development and mutually beneficial outcomes through closer collaboration.
