Recently, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government announced the winners of the region's science and technology awards in 2022.

A total of 15 projects from Ordos city obtained such honors, including one first prize and 14 second prizes, setting a new record in the number of awards.

Looking at the recipients, it is clear that local businesses have played a prominent role in technological innovation.

Of which, 14 of the awarded projects were undertaken by local enterprises, accounting for an impressive 93.3 percent of the total.

As for the fields of recognition, Ordos has been focusing on core technological breakthroughs in the traditional energy sector, leading to a series of major scientific and technological achievements.

In this round of awards, 10 projects were recognized in the energy technology field, making up 66.7 percent of the total.
