The 2024 Ordos (Hong Kong) Investment Promotion Conference, showcasing 10 impressive business proposals from the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was successfully held in Hong Kong on Jan 4.
Over 120 distinguished attendees, including representatives from renowned research institutes, Fortune 500 companies, China's top 500 enterprises, listed companies, leading industry players, and business associations, participated in the event.
A total of eight project agreements were signed, with value amounting to a staggering 12.65 billion yuan ($1.73 billion), covering various fields such as energy, international trade, securities investment, low-carbon economy, and urban development and operations.
During the conference, a list of investment opportunities was unveiled, focusing on the city's four world-class industries.
The Ordos municipal government, along with the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, and the Hong Kong Commerce and Industry Associations, signed memorandums of cooperation at the event.
Additionally, four presidents of prestigious business associations were appointed as investment ambassadors.
