Ordos opens members' channel of CPPCC municipal committee

The third session of the 5th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Ordos Municipal Committee opened on Jan 16, with the committee's member channel opening the same day.

Yang Jie, deputy director of the pharmacy department at the Second Ordos People's Hospital, introduced that the coverage of the national medical insurance drug list has been further expanded.

Many previously non-reimbursable drugs are now covered. Among the 126 newly added varieties in the updated list, 113 are new drug types that were approved within the last three years (2021-23).

Additionally, access to medications for patients has also been further broadened. Outpatients and pharmacy visitors can now enjoy the same reimbursement rates as inpatients.

Wu Jiarong, head of the rural and pastoral social services promotion division of the Ordos agricultural and animal husbandry bureau, mentioned that the initiation of the third national soil census in 2022, marking a gap of over 40 years.

Currently, the soil census work in Ordos is being systematically carried out. A total of 8,245 samples have been collected from arable and orchard lands and sent to specialized testing institutions for comprehensive analysis.

Simultaneously, a comprehensive investigation of the surrounding soil properties, types, site conditions, and utilization status of the sample points is also being conducted.

The Ordos agricultural and animal husbandry bureau will integrate the interim results of the soil census and further strengthen the application of the census results.

Based on the partial status of arable land resources, the bureau will adaptively construct high-standard farmland, comprehensive utilize saline-alkali land, as well as prevent and control farmland pollution. These efforts will improve the "three-in-one" protection system, which will ensure the quantity, quality, and ecological protection of arable land.

Wu proposed accelerating the consolidation of information infrastructure in rural and pastoral areas, implementing universal telecommunications services, and gradually extending 5G networks to villages. Her proposal also includes promoting the digitization and intelligent transformation of agricultural sector.

Tian Xinwei, general manager of Boyuan Construction Co, expressed a pressing hope for the government to take practical and solid measures in three major areas–capital investment, talent attraction, and market environment–to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and boost their confidence.
