In recent days, construction on integrated wind power and photovoltaic projects aiming at desertification control and sand prevention in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has commenced.

Among them is a 1.1-million-kilowatt photovoltaic project in the Kubuqi Desert within the jurisdiction of the city's Juungar Banner.
