Ordos-native Paralympian Sun Pengxiang triumphed at the 11th Para Athletics World Championships, clinching gold in the men's javelin F41 event with a record-breaking throw of 48.94 meters.

This achievement surpasses his previous world record of 48.46 meters set at the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou.

The championships concluded on May 25 in Kobe, Japan, where Team China secured seven gold medals, and shattered three world records.

China finished with a whopping 87 medals, topping both the gold medal and overall medal tallies, marking its best performance at the Para Athletics World Championships.
