On the afternoon of June 19, a plane adorned with the vibrant "Ordos" name and filled with South Korean tourists made a smooth landing at Ordos Ejin Horoo International Airport in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

This marked the official opening of the international flight route from Cheongju, South Korea to Ordos, Inner Mongolia.

The South Korean tourists will embark on a memorable five-day journey, enjoying the seamless, one-stop tourism services offered in Ordos.

This new route is a significant milestone as it is currently the only international inbound flight service to Inner Mongolia.

Operated by China United Airlines, the route is serviced by a Boeing 738-800 aircraft, reducing the travel time from South Korea to Ordos to approximately three hours.

In addition to the Cheongju route, the Ordos airport is set to launch more direct flights from South Korea, including routes from Seoul, Muan, and Jeju, between mid-June and mid-September.

These will operate a total of eight flights per week, with an expected influx of over 12,000 international travelers.
