As temperatures drop, Ordos city ushers in its winter tourism season. Major attractions are gearing up with unique winter cultural and tourism activities to invigorate the winter market.
Ordos plans to host over 50 distinctive cultural and tourism events this winter, including the Ice and Snow Tourism Season, Ice and Snow Nadam, and Ice and Snow Carnival.
These events feature cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, ice and snow sports, and culinary experiences.
Heartwarming winter services and "guest-pampering" measures, such as volunteer services, travel services, and price guarantee services, will be introduced to welcome visitors from all over to experience Ordos' winter tourism feast.
This year, the tourism zone aims to create an immersive ice and snow experience. For example, multiple snow machines produce pristine snow at the Jiucheng Palace Grassland Manhan Cultural Tourism Zone.
The Jiucheng Palace International Ski Resort began snowmaking on Nov 17 and opened on Nov 25. The beginner and intermediate slopes are open, and the advanced slope and snow tubing track will be open to the public this weekend.
The resort will also feature a traditional Chinese theme, with interactive performances, ice sculpture displays, skiing opportunities, and creative travel photography, making it a popular destination for residents and tourists to experience the charm of ice and snow.
