Ordos welcomed a total of 2.14 million visitors during the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, a 7.82 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Tourist spending also saw a notable rise, reaching 1.54 billion yuan ($210.96 million) – up 9.35 percent year-on-year.
