A new national standard, GB/T 45519-2025 Textiles – Quantitative Analysis of Fibers – Microscopic Intelligent Recognition Method, co-developed by Ordos-based Inner Mongolia Erdos Resources Co, has been approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration, and will take effect on Nov 1.
The standard addresses a long-standing challenge in the textile industry: the difficulty of accurately identifying the content of specialty animal fibers, such as cashmere, through manual testing methods.
Since 2018, Ordos city has collaborated with Suzhou Labworld Technology Co to develop AI-powered microscopic recognition technology. After years of in-depth research and rigorous experimentation, the breakthrough technology has now been codified into a national standard.
Its implementation marks a transformative shift from subjective, manual analysis to AI-driven automatic detection. It provides the industry with a scientific, standardized, unified, and highly efficient method for fiber content analysis, paving the way for comprehensive upgrades in textile testing.
