Inner Mongolia autonomous region celebrated China Tourism Day on May 19 in Ordos city's Kangbashi district with an event themed "Beautiful Northern Frontier Invites You to Travel through Inner Mongolia".

The event featured more than 10 cultural and tourism activities, including public performances, fairs, and promotions, to enhance high-quality cultural tourism experiences while rolling out policies that make travel more accessible and affordable.

To extend tourism benefits to a broader audience, Inner Mongolia introduced a comprehensive set of favorable measures across seven key travel scenarios: dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, and education.

Highlights include discounted or free admission to scenic attractions, dining deals, special hotel packages, extended hours for public cultural venues, and subsidized cultural performances.

As part of the festivities, Ordos issued 3 million yuan ($410,000) in cultural tourism vouchers and 2 million yuan in dining vouchers. Targeted initiatives were also launched to promote intangible cultural heritage, immersive performances, and traditional Naadam sports events.
