Ordos Ejin Horoo International Airport will offer a personalized "pets in cabin" service on the China Eastern Airlines Ordos-Shanghai flight route, starting July 1. 

A special pet lounge, located opposite Gate 7, is equipped with essential travel items for pets, including crate nets, disposable locks, pet diapers, and disinfectant wipes. It features an air purifier with automated sterilization to ensure a clean and safe environment for both pets and their owners. The lounge's calm and cozy setting also helps ease the stress of waiting for passengers traveling with pets.

Exclusive information desks are now available to answer pet travel questions, and separate check-in counters are in place to reduce wait times. Fast-track security screening procedures are also designed to provide a smooth and caring journey from start to finish.

Passengers interested in using the service must book at least 24 hours before departure via official channels, such as the China Eastern Airlines app. Required documents include the original Animal Quarantine Certificate issued by relevant authorities, original vaccination proof for dogs and cats, and a completed electronic application form for in-cabin pet travel.

China Eastern Airlines advises travelers to arrive at least two hours in advance to complete the dedicated check-in process and ensure proper handling of pets, with minimal disruption to other passengers.
