Ordos' Ejin Horoo Banner secured contracts worth 3.5 billion yuan ($487.47 million) at the recent Inner Mongolia Fresh Beef Brand Promotion Conference in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province.

A highlight of the event was the signing of a major cooperation agreement between Ejin Horoo Banner and Yuehai Food Co, covering the supply of 100,000 head of cattle.

In addition to traditional fresh beef, producers also showcased value-added products, including precision-cut portions, ready-to-cook meals, and beef jerky, which cater to the diverse needs of consumers.

To support this initiative, the cold chain logistics system has been optimized to ensure swift delivery of beef products, allowing consumers to enjoy fresh, high-quality meat promptly.

A comprehensive traceability system has also been established, enabling customers to scan a code and access full information on the beef's breeding, processing, and transportation journey, ensuring transparency and food safety.

Guangdong, with a population of 127 million and its strategic location in the Greater Bay Area, is one of China's largest markets for agricultural products. The complementary strengths between Ejin Horoo’s livestock resources and Guangdong's vast market demand provide a strong foundation for long-term cooperation.
