On July 11, the Wangfu Mingyueye summer cultural and tourism festival kicked off in Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos.

The grand opening featured a dazzling float parade that thrilled the crowd, while seven immersive NPC-led scenes transformed the entire street into a theatrical experience.

At Xiachen Plaza, a city version of the traditional Naadam festival came alive with Mongolian wrestling, local handicrafts, and a lively bonfire party that blended grassland traditions with urban flair. The debut of the live-action drama Menghui Junwangfu drew a full house, where more than 30 performers brought wartime history vividly to life.

Running through October, the festival will offer 1 million yuan ($139,275) in digital coupons via the "Ordos Cloud Travel" platform, covering scenic attractions, local cuisine, and cultural products.

Throughout the season, weekly float parades and Naadam festivities will continue, along with pet-themed photo spots, NPC flash mobs, and daily performances of Menghui Junwangfu.

Each evening, the "7:30 Warm City Craft Life Festival" lights up the square with gourmet food, live music, and a vibrant creative marketplace.
