On July 18, the 8th China (Ordos) International Cashmere and Wool Exhibition opened in Ordos'  Dongsheng district, drawing international attention with its global scope and stylish flair.

This year's event served as a platform for international industrial cooperation, academic exchanges, school-enterprise collaboration, trade, investment promotion, fashion empowerment, and cultural dialogue. It aimed to accelerate digital transformation, attract top talent, and integrate Ordos' cashmere and wool industry into the global value chain.

The exhibition featured six major zones themed on international trade, equipment and technology, fabrics and yarns, and more, alongside three special centers for forums, fashion shows, and achievements displays.

It has attracted delegations from over 30 world-renowned enterprises across 10 countries, including the UK, France, and Italy. Leading Chinese companies such as Erdos Group and Hengyuanxiang, along with nearly 200 exhibitors and over 220 buyers from key domestic hubs like Puyuan in Zhejiang and Qinghe in Hebei, participated.

In a nearly 500-square-meter international pavilion, Italy's timeless fashion, France's refined elegance, Britain's rich history, Japan's meticulous craftsmanship, South Korea's cutting-edge innovation, and Mongolia’s natural luxury were on full display. Exhibits spanned premium cashmere and wool products, high-end apparel, innovative textiles, and frontier technologies and patents.

Concurrent events included the 2025 China High-Quality Cashmere Development Conference, the 9th International Cashmere Testing Technology Seminar, an AI-powered design forum, a robot fashion show, and the "Young·Rong" innovation design competition, all fostering comprehensive industry exchange and cooperation.

Several key research outcomes were also unveiled, including an automated cashmere combing device, a new functional yarn and processing technology, and a technique to increase reproductive efficiency, all showcasing Ordos' growing strength in scientific innovation.
