The first museum dedicated to Chinese alcohol in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has opened in Ordos city's Dongsheng district.
The Ordos Alcohol Culture Museum combines historical preservation, cultural tourism, and educational programs, providing visitors with a unique and immersive experience.
The museum houses over 500 artifacts related to alcohol production and culture – from pottery and bronze ware to porcelain, gold, and silver vessels – spanning from the Stone Age to modern times.
These exhibits trace the connections between alcohol and various aspects of Chinese history, literature, lifestyle, and regional traditions, serving as a window into Chinese and Inner Mongolian cultures.
Designed with young learners in mind, the museum also features an interactive education zone. Students can participate in hands-on activities such as simulated brewing and archaeological digs of ancient drinking vessels, helping to foster appreciation and inheritance of traditional craftsmanship.
