Inner Mongolia Guojihua Food Technology Co in Ordos has launched a trio of innovative herbal-infused sodas – Mint & Mung Bean, Ginger & Goji Berry, and Honeysuckle & Dark Plum – combining traditional Chinese herbal wisdom with the fizzy appeal of modern soft drinks.
In the company's smart production facility, fully automated lines are running at full speed to produce the new "Oriental Cola" series. "We are accelerating distribution. A shipment has already been sent to the Henan market, and major supermarkets in Ordos have begun stocking the new flavors," said Yun Tiezhu, the company's general manager.
A year in the making, the new product line was designed to meet evolving consumer needs in terms of both variety and wellness. By merging China's herbal heritage with contemporary beverage styles, Guojihua has created a refreshing alternative to conventional colas.
"The core idea behind the 'Oriental Cola' series is to redefine what cola can be – by using flavors familiar to Chinese consumers," Yun explained. "These three new offerings, together with our classic Orange Cola, form a diverse 'Oriental Cola Universe' that caters to a broad range of tastes and occasions, while highlighting ingredients rooted in Chinese food culture."
Since launching production in 2024 in the Juungar Economic Development Zone, Guojihua has invested 230 million yuan ($32.08 million) into its operations. To date, it has launched 10 products by utilizing the region's rich local fruit and herb resources. Its sea buckthorn juice, in particular, has seen strong international demand – reportedly selling out repeatedly in the US market.
