The First Western China (Ordos) Conference on Technology-Driven Innovation in the Silver Economy was held on Aug 26 in Ordos city's Ejin Horoo Banner. The event focused on integrating technology with the elderly care industry, with government officials, experts, and business leaders discussing pathways and opportunities for utilizing technology in the silver economy.

Experts shared insights on key topics, while the Ordos Elderly Care Industry Association and Inner Mongolia Minzu Preschool Education College signed a vocational education framework agreement to develop talent for the sector. The "Western Silver Economy Empowerment Platform" was also launched during the event.

As a regional hub, Ordos has been advancing smart elderly care in recent years, establishing a two-tiered supervision and dispatch system that covers both municipal and banner levels. It has also integrated multiple subsystems to better connect seniors' needs, service provision, and government supervision, laying a solid foundation for the city's smart elderly care industry.
