On Aug 14, a China-Europe freight train departed from the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone for Moscow via the Ereenhot land port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The train carried 55 containers loaded with refrigerators, TVs, and washing machines worth about 13.5 million yuan ($1.89 million).
According to Liu Xuan, head of Ordos Ouqiao International Logistics Co, the bonded zone allows companies to benefit from bonded warehousing, containerized storage, and tax rebates upon entry, greatly improving capital turnover and customs clearance efficiency.
This year, Ordos Customs has advanced the integration of China-Europe freight trains with bonded zone functions, streamlining processes for everything from bonded storage to outbound shipping. Measures such as the “multi-vehicle under one declaration” system have reduced costs, while tailored supervision for goods from multiple sources has facilitated consolidation and direct transfers.
With pre-arranged clearance and inspection services, Ordos Customs has enhanced efficiency and ensured smooth train operations, helping enterprises cut costs and boost competitiveness in global trade.
