Recently, the industrial thermal energy storage team at Ordos Laboratory in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region obtained authorization for four national invention patents, marking a key breakthrough in long-duration, high-temperature fluidized-bed thermal energy storage technology. This achievement provides vital support for integrating renewable energy with industrial processes.

The approved patents include: a fluidized bed heat storage and release system and method, a composite phase-change heat storage material and preparation method, a carbon-based material preparation method and device, and a fluidized bed energy storage system and heat storage/release method. Covering heat storage media, core equipment, and system integration, the patents are expected to accelerate the engineering and industrialization of advanced thermal storage technologies.

Looking ahead, Ordos Laboratory will further strengthen its intellectual property layout, speed up the transformation of scientific results, and advance the construction of a 100 MWh-scale industrial demonstration project. The goal is to build a benchmark base for high-temperature fluidized-bed thermal storage, support the growth of Inner Mongolia's new energy storage industry, and contribute to China's "dual carbon" goals with green innovation.
