During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from Oct 1 to 8, Ordos' Kangbashi district will host the "Warm City Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival", offering more than 100 events across six themed sections. The festival blends tradition and modernity, visuals and flavors, performances and interactive experiences.
Highlights include the parade on Oct 3, featuring Yang Family Drum Troupe, Miao Lusheng Dance, Yingge Dance, and Ansai Waist Drum.
The carnival also features seven special performances themed on "Mountains and Rivers, Splendid Intangible Heritage", including Shaanbei folk songs, folk custom shows, and traditional music concerts, catering to all ages.
Food and creative markets showcase local snacks and innovative cultural products. Visitors can enjoy interactive activities such as Mongolian yurt check-ins and Ordos bridal costume experiences.
The opening night on Oct 1 at Wulanmulun Lake will feature fireworks, a thousand-drone show, and dynamic fountains. On Oct 5, a "Glorious Mountains and Rivers" mini fireworks show with music will highlight the harmony between historical and modern art.
