The Inner Mongolia hydrogen energy equipment demonstration and testing platform project, located in Ordos Airport Logistics Park, was recently approved as a national-level pilot project.

The project was jointly developed by China Energy Investment Corporation Co’s hydrogen subsidiary, the China Hydrogen Alliance, the government of Ordos city's Ejin Horoo Banner, and the Ordos Airport Logistics Park.

It is China's first comprehensive platform dedicated to full-chain testing and standard verification of hydrogen energy equipment.

It seeks to address major challenges in hydrogen energy industrialization, including gaps in performance evaluation standards, testing, and certification technologies for critical equipment.

As a strategic emerging initiative, this project is closely aligned with Ordos's development priorities. Its approval marks a key step in bridging the gap between hydrogen technology research and large-scale commercialization, verifying technological feasibility and reducing business risks.

Ordos will promote the hydrogen industry by focusing on low-cost, efficient utilization of blue hydrogen and expanding the application of green hydrogen.

The city plans to build a comprehensive hydrogen energy ecosystem encompassing production, storage, transportation, and utilization, while developing a multi-level industrial cluster for materials, components, and equipment. Ordos will also continue to enhance talent support, improve the business environment, and drive the high-quality development of the hydrogen industry.
