Ordos city has set a goal of expanding its low-altitude economy to more than 10 billion yuan ($1.43 billion) by 2027, according to the city's industry and information technology bureau.

Taking advantage of its 75,000 square kilometers of temporary airspace and more than 300 flyable days each year, the city has developed a diversified airspace supply system.

Centered on Ordos Ejin Horoo International Airport and supported by general aviation airports and takeoff-and-landing sites, Ordos has formed an integrated aviation network linking trunk and feeder routes.

Low-altitude applications now extend across mining operations, industrial inspections, protection of the Yellow River's shoreline, culture, and tourism – covering production, public services, and consumer experiences.

Meanwhile, Ordos' abundant new energy capacity provides a strong source of green electricity, while its robust coal-chemical industry ensures material supply. These advantages have attracted a growing number of enterprises in the low-altitude sector, with key projects accelerating their rollout.
