Construction is progressing rapidly on Inner Mongolia Xuandian New Materials Co's conductive additive project, designed to supply essential materials for China's fast-growing new-energy industries.
The project covers 106.8 mu (7.12 hectares) and carries a total planned investment of 900 million yuan ($128.58 million).
It will be built in three phases. Phase I, now under construction with an investment of 300 million yuan, includes three internationally advanced production lines for new-energy battery conductive additives: a 15,000-metric-ton general-purpose line, a 10,000-ton mid-grade line, and a 5,000-ton superconductive-grade line.
Once fully operational, the project is expected to significantly increase domestic substitution of imported conductive additives and provide essential support for sectors such as new energy vehicles and energy storage.
It is projected to create 100 new jobs and generate over 50 million yuan in annual tax revenue, with annual output exceeding 700 million yuan.
