The import-export value handled at Ordos Ejin Horoo International Airport exceeded 20 million yuan ( $2.87 million) as of Dec 26, 2025, marking a record high.
According to Ordos Customs, the port operated 22 cargo charter flights, with imports totaling 154.8 metric tons worth 1.05 million yuan and exports reaching 115.7 tons valued at 19.72 million yuan.
To ensure efficient cargo clearance, Ordos Customs streamlined procedures by promoting advance declaration and appointment-based clearance, reducing cargo dwell time. It also opened an emergency green channel to provide "arrival-to-release" services for fresh fruit and tailored clearance solutions for cross-border e-commerce goods, industrial components, and perishable products.
Since 2025, a direct air route linking Ordos and Bangkok has supported regular exports of cross-border e-commerce goods. After completing customs clearance in Ordos, cargo can be delivered to overseas customers via air routes in the shortest possible time, helping local firms expand into international markets.
"The steady operation of international cargo flights reflects the strong momentum of Ordos' foreign trade," said Tao Zengbo, deputy head of Ordos Customs, adding that further efforts will be made to optimize clearance services and enhance the port's level of openness to support high-quality regional development.
