The 9th Ordos Ice and Snow Carnival kicked off on Jan 17 at the Jiuchenggong International Ski Resort in Ordos city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The event is running under the theme "Ignite the Ice and Snow, Enjoy the Warm City", offering a diverse winter experience combining sports, culture, and entertainment.

The ice and snow sports season features ski runs at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, and interactive events such as ice dragon boat races and snow treasure hunts that are open to the public.

Meanwhile, a themed ice-and-snow light show uses lasers and projection technology to blend local culture with the city's "Warm City" identity, creating three immersive light zones and interactive photo routes.
