Updated: 2026-01-23 (chinadaily.com.cn) Print

A 300-megawatt green power direct-supply project was signed on Jan 22 in the Otog High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Ordos city. The agreement was reached between Inner Mongolia Dongfu New Energy Materials Co and CGN (Inner Mongolia) New Energy Investment Co.

Designed as a supporting green power project for Inner Mongolia Dongfu New Energy Materials Co, the initiative is the first demonstration project to be signed since Inner Mongolia introduced its green power direct-connection policy.

By enabling nearby and on-site consumption of renewable energy, the project will help reduce production costs and lay the foundation for building a zero-carbon factory. More importantly, it will ensure the physical traceability of green electricity, providing strong support for products to meet international green trade standards and facilitating exports.

The project is expected to serve as a model for Otog Banner in advancing carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, accelerating the development of a new energy system, and transforming wind and solar resources into tangible economic advantages.
