The streets of Ordos' Kangbashi district came alive on March 2–3 as folk parades lit up the city in celebration of the Lantern Festival.

The event featured a two-kilometer parade along Wenhua East Road, linking three major performance venues: the square of Ordos City Culture and Art Center, Xiachen Plaza, and Ulan Mulun Lake Area Plaza.

Blending Year of the Horse cultural motifs with trendy guochao (China-chic), the parade showcased a diverse lineup of performances.

Highlights included lion dances, Ansai waist drum routines, a paper-cutting costume show, and northern Shaanxi yangko dance, representing national intangible cultural heritage and regional folk traditions.

Interactive segments, featuring performers dressed as non-player characters distributing Chinese New Year blessings along the route, encouraged citywide participation and created a festive, community-wide celebration atmosphere.
