The 2021 World Industrial Internet Conference was held in Qingdao, Shandong province on Oct 26-27 to inject new vitality into the city's industrial internet development, local media reported.

Held both online and offline, the conference included an opening ceremony, keynote speeches and an achievement release. It invited experts and scholars from home and abroad and representatives of universities and well-known enterprises to share their insights into industrial internet development trends.

Parallel forums were launched around new technologies, new models, new business formats and new industries.

At the main forum, Liu Yunjie, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yang Shanlin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhou Yunjie, president of Haier Group, Xu Li, CEO of SenseTime, Fan Ji'an, chief scientist of China Unicom, Fan Yuan, president of DAS-security, Professor Robert E. Kahn, founding father of the internet, Dr. O. S. Ganiyusufoglu, academician of Acatech, and Ronjon Nag, professor of Stanford University, gave keynote speeches.

Many leading enterprises such as Haier, Tencent, China Mobile, SenseTime and Venustech also shared their practices and products related to the fields of industrial internet security, platform, ecology, digital economy and AI.

In recent years, Qingdao has been promoting industrial internet development and has attracted a number of AI teams and leading enterprises, forming an industrial ecosystem with Qingdao characteristics, said local authorities.
