Chinese-built core process module of Canadian LNG project delivered
The first core process module of the Canadian liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, which was built by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), was completed and delivered at the Qingdao site on Dec 10.
The project was the first in the world to realize the integrated construction of core process modules and pipe gallery modules.
The module delivered is 37 meters tall and weighs 5,465 tons. It is mainly responsible for the pretreatment of raw material gas.
The module will be shipped to the project site in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada for on-site installation.
