Industrial cluster 

Currently, Qingdao is enhancing its industrial cluster development and building 24 major industrial chains. The upcoming DHC's sub-center will include various industrial ecosystems such as a big data center, a training center and an incubation base. After completion, the project is expected to attract 30 to 40 subsidiary companies, joint ventures and upstream and downstream enterprises, and incubate 100 companies in the next five years. 

"The construction is efficient due to the strong support from Laoshan and Qingdao," said Dong Yushuo, senior vice-president of DHC, adding that the local governments made remarkable efforts to optimize the approval process and simplify the procedures. "While developing and expanding the overall strength of the local software industry, DHC will also accelerate the formation of a software industrial ecology in Qingdao," said Dong.

Algorithm service, innovation in hardware-software integration and smart industrial applications are three main goals in the Qingdao AI Industrial Park. Dixintong's AI base will enhance the industrial chain by linking world-class robotics resources and introducing top manufacturing companies such as Germany's ReActive Robotics, South Korea's DST Robotics and Changsha Xingshen Intelligent Technology Co Ltd to engage in research, development, manufacturing, and sales of industrial robot products such as marine rescue robots, unmanned ships and handling robots. The company plans to cultivate three to five listed robotic corporations in Qingdao.

Modern industries

Newly established headquarters bases and industrial parks have become vivid examples of Qingdao's accelerated construction as a leading city in modern industry. 

In 2022, Qingdao launched a three-year plan to vitalize the real economy and develop 24 key industry chains, while planning to construct the first 15 professional parks for emerging industries. These parks are not only a carrier for Qingdao's innovation and development of resource aggregation, but also a fertile ground for nurturing emerging industries.
