Experts and scholars from around the world, along with a group of international media guests from Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries, paid a visit to the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, also known as SCODA, on July 9. The visit was a highlight of the Green Development Forum of SCO Countries.

The SCODA headquarters, located in Jiaozhou, houses the Qingdao SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, which integrates functions such as conferences, exhibitions, sightseeing, tourism, product displays, cultural exchanges, and commercial services, providing a one-stop cultural experience.

At the Cambodian exhibition area, the national editor of Cambodia's Khmer Times introduced royal dance dramas, musical instruments, and other elements of Cambodian culture to visiting guests.

"I am delighted to see my country's agricultural products, souvenirs, and cultural arts displayed here. Through the SCODA, we can collaborate with Chinese partners to present a rich and colorful Cambodian cultural landscape," according to the editor.

He said that everything he has seen and heard in Qingdao has left a deep impression on him, and he hopes to use the SCO as a medium to engage in more international exchanges and cooperation, thereby stimulating the development of the region.

"Qingdao is the first city in Shandong that I have visited, and it has shown me how much China has developed. I really like this beautiful city," said a journalist from the Russian newspaper Izvestia.

She said that during the forum on July 8, countries discussed proposals and strategies for green development. The SCODA in Qingdao has played a significant role in facilitating exchanges and cooperation among SCO member states, and she believes that it will become even more significant in the future.
