An oil painting exhibition highlighting works by young painters in Shandong opened on Dec 22 at the Tai'an Art Museum in Tai'an, Shandong province.

A total of 142 works are on display, which are selected from 2,225 entries.

Organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the exhibition is part of the province's efforts to discover and promote young artists and display their creation and pursuit of art.

The exhibition will last until Jan 9, 2020. The paintings will also be exhibited in other cities in Shandong.
