Tai'an Wenhe River National Wetland and Dongping Binhu Lake National Wetland Park have both passed the acceptance test by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and became national wetland parks.

Tai'an currently has three national wetland parks. The city recently has made great efforts in protecting and improving the environment of wetland areas.

A series of projects have been implemented to improve water resources and the habitat environment of animals at the wetland parks. In the past two years, an increasing number of endangered birds have inhabited at the two wetlands, demonstrating the great improvement and promotion of the ecological environment in the parks.

The city will continue to improve the environment and management of national wetland parks to give full play to the function of wetland ecosystems, as well as to help maintain the biodiversity.
