A bazaar was held at Donghu community in Taishan district, Tai'an, Shandong province on May 25 to promote agricultural products sales and benefit farmers.

More than 30 kinds of special agricultural products were showcased at the bazaar for visitors to taste. Traditional skills such as the tea frying skill were also presented at the bazaar.

According to Zhang Shibin, the community's Party secretary, the community piloted a combination of cooperative product sales and residents' credit point system under the leadership of the rural Party branch-led cooperative service center.

The community issued "credit stored value cards" to residents to encourage them to obtain personal credit points by participating in community volunteer activities, and exchange the personal credit points for corresponding shopping coupons to purchase cooperative products at a discount, Zhang added.

The pilot exercise drew not just cooperatives from Taishan district, but also participants from neighboring districts and counties, including Daiyue district and Ningyang county.

The establishment of a cooperative service center managed by the Taishan district rural Party branch has promoted the rapid expansion of cooperatives through specialization, standardization, and scientization.
