Mountain tourism research base to be established at Taishan University

According to an announcement released by the China Tourism Academy (Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), the mountain tourism research base of China Tourism Academy will be officially established at Taishan University, which is located in Tai'an, Shandong province.

As a provincial-level platform, the mountain tourism research base is expected to offer a master's degree program in tourism management and a national first-class tourism management major at Taishan University. 

Since its establishment, Taishan University has put a major focus on Mount Tai tourism and mountain tourism research, and relied on the culture of Mount Tai to carry out research on the integration of culture and tourism. The university has achieved a number of high-level characteristic research results, promoted the integration of the university's tourism disciplines of government, industry, academia, and research and application, and created an excellent academic research team and a think tank in the unique mountain tourism field.

To date, the China Tourism Academy has approved the establishment of two branches and 23 research bases in China, which specialize in national-level tourism disciplines.
