The Tai'an Culture and Tourism Development Conference opened in Tai'an city, East China's Shandong province on June 21.

During the conference, the Tai'an government signed 11 contracts worth 6.79 billion yuan ($945.9 million) in investments aimed at bolstering the culture and tourism industry. These investments ranged from supporting the night economy to enhancing rural areas, upgrading hotels and providing cultural creativity.

The conference also recognized 10 exceptional tourist spots, such as the Dongping Grand Song Dynasty Night Fair and the immersive performance in Jiunv Mountain, as well as 10 Tai'an-based media organizations for their contributions in promoting local scenic spots.

Li Lanxiang, mayor of Tai'an, emphasized the importance of preserving Mount Tai's culture, describing it as a vital point of interest for visitors and locals alike.

As Mount Tai is recognized as the world's first cultural and natural heritage in China, the local government is aiming to turn the city into a renowned cultural leisure tourism hub that provides visitors with an immersive and unique experience.
