Taishan University professor promotes Chinese culture in Australia

Professor Li Tianjun from the Art College of Taishan University in Tai'an participated in a Chinese culture promotion event in Canberra, Australia, mid-July.

Organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and supported by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government, the event lasted for over 10 days. It was attended by 11 experts in various fields from across the country to showcase and introduce Chinese culture and arts, like Chinese painting abroad.

Li taught Chinese painting at the Australia School of Contemporary Chinese to over 200 people, including teenagers and local retired officials interested in the art form.

At the event's closing ceremony, over 100 Chinese painting artworks featuring plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, chrysanthemums, and landscapes were displayed.

Li's artwork featuring prosperity and flourishing during the exhibition was given to the Chinese Embassy in Australia as a gift from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government. It was highly praised by Miao Changxia, consul general of the Chinese Embassy in Australia.
