A popular dish from Tai'an, known as Tai'an pancake, was recently showcased at the 5th China Grain Trade Conference opened in Zhengzhou, Henan province on Aug 26.

Eight pancake companies exhibited and sold over 60 varieties of pancakes at the Tai'an pancake booth at the conference.

During a promotion event for Shandong grain and oil products, the host introduced the development history, advantages, characteristics, and future development plan of Tai'an pancake. Representatives from other provinces and cities had an opportunity to taste the Tai'an pancake.

Tai'an pancake boasts a history of over 1,000 years as an intangible cultural heritage item. The pancake is made of grains like corn, millet, soybean, and black sesame.
