The 2023 Shandong New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Rural Exhibition Tour (Tai'an) was inaugurated in Daiyue district on Oct 21. Over 40 brands and nearly a hundred models were on display at the Daiyue Cultural Square.

Catering to the diverse car purchasing needs of urban and rural residents, this event aimed to promote vehicle consumption and rejuvenate rural areas.

Many exhibitors introduced their latest models, offering exclusive discounts, financial incentives, limited-time offers, and special exhibition benefits, attracting numerous locals to take test drives.

Dealers also introduced online promotions, including live-streamed car sales and online purchasing, to maximizing the needs of both online and offline consumers.

Among the exhibitors, Geely GEOME showcased three models: Panda Knight, Geometry Firefly, and Panda Mini.

According to sales representative Ma Junjie, the Panda Knight is an off-road version of the Panda Mini, featuring a roof rack and supporting both fast and slow charging. With a driving range of 200 kilometers, it's now being sold at 49,900 yuan ($6,820.46), down from the original 53,900 yuan.

"We are thrilled to participate, increasing exposure for our NEVs and enhancing our brand recognition and sales," said Ma.

This year, the Tai'an government has prioritized consumption stability and expansion, rolling out various policies to stimulate consumption. These include multiple rounds of government-subsidized vouchers for cars, home appliances and dining, effectively bolstering consumer confidence and driving the comprehensive recovery of consumption.
