"2024 is a very special year, as it marks both the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and the beginning of the China-France Year of Cultural Tourism. Many interesting activities will be held in both countries, showcasing cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and France," said Nicolas Pillerel, minister counselor for culture, education and scientific affairs of the French embassy in China.

Pillerel also hopes that through the exhibition, everyone can appreciate France's unique regional beauty, feel its vitality and innovative spirit, and recognize its commitment to historical preservation and quality.

Choosing Tai'an to hold the photo exhibition was meant as a celebration of the second anniversary of the friendship between Mont-Saint-Michel and Mount Tai.

In recent years, Tai'an and France have maintained close exchanges and interactions in culture, trade, sports, tourism, education, and technology. Since establishing friendly relations with Mont-Saint-Michel in 2001, the governments of both cities have maintained amicable exchanges and carried out mutual visits, sharing experiences in social development and economic prosperity.

Through the photo exhibition, both sides will continue to deepen exchanges and interactions in trade, culture, tourism, education, and more, sharing in the opportunities of the times and writing a new chapter in their cooperation.
